Mesothelioma Law Firm Wants to Hear From Asbestos Victims

Clapper, Patti, Schweizer & Mason have just launched their Facebook page and want to hear from others that have been diagnosed with mesothelioma. They kick off this week's invitation by asking readers to share how using hospice and home care services made a difference and allowed services to be given in the comfort of home versus a hospital.

The asbestos attorneys at Clapper Patti Schweizer & Mason have just launched their Facebook page and are interested in hearing not only from past and current clients but from anyone whose life has been affected by mesothelioma. Clapper Patti Schweizer & Mason (CPSM) is asking those diagnosed with mesothelioma to share their experiences with the goal of learning even more about providing the best representation and support possible to their clients.

Each week, CPSM will post a new question on their Facebook page. This week's query is in honor of National Home Care & Hospice Month, inviting readers to share their own experience of how hospice helped them receive the care they needed in the comfort of their home after being diagnosed with mesothelioma. Over ninety percent of those who are facing the end of life share they would prefer to remain in their homes. Hospice and Home Care providers make this possible.

Mesothelioma is a rare and fatal form of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos. Because of a long latency period and non-specific symptoms that mimic other less serious illnesses, mesothelioma often is not diagnosed until it has reached advanced stages and prognosis is quite poor. Sadly, many sufferers do not survive past 18 months after diagnosis. During the final months of life, many can remain in their homes only because of the expert care and services provided by Hospice.

Hospice not only helps with management of painful symptoms of advanced mesothelioma, but also gives much needed respite and emotional support to loved ones who are providing 24-7 care. Clapper Patti Schweizer & Mason invite those of you who have used Hospice and Home Care to please share your stories on their Facebook page. Specifically:

• Tips for choosing the best home care providers
• How Hospice allows family caregivers to get a much needed break
• The best time to call for hospice and home care help
• How Hospice helped the mesothelioma patient as well as family members
• How receiving care in the home allowed for more dignity, choice and independence

If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with mesothelioma, contact our law firm today to talk directly with one of our asbestos attorneys who can offer you a free case evaluation.
